This program removed the virus.. THANKS!! I was beating my brain trying to remove it on my own but the virus didn’t let me go into my “remove software” control panel.

Tried both methods with no success; most likely doing something fundamentally wrong - need assistance. Manually … after regedit and following the tree (i.e., HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ <== “AntivirusTrigger is not listed in this structure; same issue under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\…
Automatic method: when attempting to save SmitfraudFix.exe … the download takes 4 - 6 hours and then doesn’t complete. Strange given that it is only a 1.5MB file.
Went on another PC and download the SMitfraudFix.exe on a thumb-drive … but when placed in the USB port on the infected PC … file not there (but, of course it is there).
Have been working in the infected PC using Safe Mode; trying to locate the AntiVirusTrigger files - with no success.
Could use advise or help ….

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the smitfraud fix. I couldn’t find all the registry values on my computer and once I installed and ran it, the antivirus trigger AND all the other programs that installed itself disappeared!
