I removed the control panel applet by finding the vav file in the windows system32 folder and deleting it.

Im 14 years old and this worked for me. That annyoing blue and yellow background is gone, and my computer is running as fast as it used to. Im currently download mcafee to prevent spyware, adware, etc. As my AVG antivirus did not detect Antivirus xp 2008. Thanks for the help.

I have gotten a virus program WinspywareProtect on my computer. I can do everything but get on the internet. It is running slow and there are pop ups asking me to buy the license. How can I remove this? I can’t get to the internet.

Can’t remove that. Smit Fraud don’t rid it. I’ve installed kaspersky but it doesn’t work against Vav. What can i do?

oh, my, god…
I’ve been working at this thing for the past 4 fricken hours, I’m usually really good with computers (took out virusheat in 30 mins) but this has me flabbergasted! it’s COMPLETLY self regenerating, I’ve gotten to the source file, file shredded it…and IT’S BACK once I restart… yes, I’m runnin safe mode…
