Files Secure Explanation

Files Secure, or FilesSecure v.2.1, is a new rogue anti-spyware program, which is a form of fake malicious software engineered by Internet hackers.

Files Secure is not a virus by itself, but it is a fake anti-spyware program. Do NOT purchase Files Secure under any circumstances since it is a fake anti-spyware software.
The following process will help you remove it from your system easily and safely.

  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Close all open programs and windows on your desktop.
  6. Open your registry editor (regedit) program by going to Start Menu, type in regedit, and click OK.
  7. Find all of the following registry entries and delete them. If you do not know how to do this, then you can read how to edit the registry in Windows.

  9. Delete all of the following files that are associated with Files Secure from your computer.

    Files Secure 2.1.lnk
    Files Secure 2.2.lnk
    oggview.dll
    orgnavi.dll
    orgnavi.dll-removed_skip
    secure.exe

    If you have issues deleting any of the previously listed files that are associated with Files Secure, you can try rebooting your computer into safe mode.   10. After locating and deleting the previous files you must remove all directories associated with Files Secure by going to the C:\ProgramFiles\Files Secure folder, select it, and delete it. In some cases you may not be able to find this directory. You can still continue to the next step.

  11. Restart your computer. You do not need to boot into safe mode at this point. You should have removed Files Secure completely from your computer. If you find that Files Secure is still on your computer, you can repeat the steps again or go to the automatic Files Secure removal process.

    In part 9 of the Files Secure Removal Process, it states to rename the files above to ” foundbadfile1.dll” and “foundbadfile2.dll”. What files are we renaming? If we delete the files, how can they be renamed? Can someone clarify what files get renamed and how?

    Files secure is not in my control panel, or my registry. I use vista and know that’s what I have. Any suggestions?
