I was a little apprehensive to try this, but SmithfraudFix worked like a charm! Download it, start your computer in safe mode and follow the instructions. VirusProtect 3.9 was GONE! Thank you!

I tried several manual methods to get rid of this bugger including deleting some registry entries, but to no avail. I ran this SmitfraudFix program and now that nasty VirusProtect pop-up/blinking icon are finally gone!

This program is a life saver and really works. I was skeptical because I had tried a bunch of BS Spy sweeper and doctor crap and they all wanted me to buy their sh*t before they could fix the problem. SmithfraudFix.exe is the real deal. Make sure you have this file running from your desktop and not from a cd or flash otherwise you will be staring at french screen that makes no sense. The instructions work perfectly, thank you!
