Help…I can’t download smitfraudfix. I get the following error msg:
Erreur 403 – Refus de traitement de la requête (Interdit – Forbidden)

Le serveur a compris la requête, mais refuse de la satisfaire.

Une démarche d’authentification n’y fera rien et cette requête ne doit pas être renouvelée. Si la méthode invoquée est différente de HEAD et le serveur souhaite rendre public la raison pour laquelle il refuse le traitement, il le fera dans l’entité liée à cette réponse. Ce code d’état est souvent utilisé lorsque le serveur ne souhaite pas s’étendre sur les raisons pour lesquelles il refuse un accès, ou parce que c’est la seule réponse qui convienne.

Vous tentez d’accéder à une ressource qui vous est interdite.
Il se peut que le compte concerné soit suspendu (Cf. Console de Gestion)

Solution to, “i cant get it to work at all. the program is not allowed to run and it says comp says smitfraudfix is infected. please help!!!!!!”

Ignore the popup (do not close box) and click smitfraudfix again. This should start up the program. If that doesn’t work, right click the icon and open folders. Click on the ‘system 32/cmd.exe file.’ If the popup comes up once again, ignore (do not close box) and click the same file again. Hope this helps. it worked for me.

The Manual removal instruction stalled at the first step. Couldn’t get to taskmgr either by right click the mouse or through Start/Run/taskmgr

I got this virus twice on 2 different computers. It is terrible. The second computer is in a repair shop for a week and they still cannot get it going. What ever you do, make sure you do not restart the computer until you are quasruple sure you got it off. If you restart it, it will not restart but you will get a blue screen when clicking on safe mode. In safe mode, it changes the bios so you cannot reinstall windows from a cd. I have not tried this tool but am wary because you have to restart the computer. By then it may be too late. It took me about a week of talking to MS security dept. before I was able to use the computer again. It also knocked out my external HD so I have no backup files.

what does it mean when i try to do a System Restore and it says it has been turned off by group policy and that i should contact my domain administrator? this isn’t a networked computer, and i am the only user on it.

I have the worm.win32.netsky virus that even wont allow me to access my computer offline.The spyware warning keeps popping out.I tried to re-start my computer but it wont even allow me to open my control panel.

Stephanie, the virus disables the task manager, that had nothing to do with smithfraudfix, I suggest you run your computer under safe mode with networking as it states on the tutorial . I believe this virus has made a comeback and has probably been developed more since its last release.

This is not working for me as every option says Application cannot be executed. the file XX is infected. Do you want to activate your anti virus software now.
Any suggestions?

This absolutely positively did not work for this error. In fact, upon downloading and trying this SmitFraud program, I now have no access at all to my task manager as it displays an error message that “task manager has been disabled by the administrator” and I definately don’t have an administrator for this computer. What a headache!
