  • John says:

The Manual removal instruction stalled at the first step. Couldn’t get to taskmgr either by right click the mouse or through Start/Run/taskmgr

  • .GB says:

I got this virus twice on 2 different computers. It is terrible. The second computer is in a repair shop for a week and they still cannot get it going. What ever you do, make sure you do not restart the computer until you are quasruple sure you got it off. If you restart it, it will not restart but you will get a blue screen when clicking on safe mode. In safe mode, it changes the bios so you cannot reinstall windows from a cd. I have not tried this tool but am wary because you have to restart the computer. By then it may be too late. It took me about a week of talking to MS security dept. before I was able to use the computer again. It also knocked out my external HD so I have no backup files.

  • To Stephanie From Max says:

Stephanie, the virus disables the task manager, that had nothing to do with smithfraudfix, I suggest you run your computer under safe mode with networking as it states on the tutorial :). I believe this virus has made a comeback and has probably been developed more since its last release.

  • cg says:

This is not working for me as every option says Application cannot be executed. the file XX is infected. Do you want to activate your anti virus software now.
    Any suggestions?

  • Stephanie says:

This absolutely positively did not work for this error. In fact, upon downloading and trying this SmitFraud program, I now have no access at all to my task manager as it displays an error message that “task manager has been disabled by the administrator” and I definately don’t have an administrator for this computer. What a headache!

  • vijay says:

You guys Rock! I got myself the Worm.Win32.NetSky
    Down loaded the SmitfraudFix,
It took me a little while to get it to work, seems the worm disabled, task manager, system restore, and about everything else to hide itself. I got enough stopped to get a toe in so to speak and SmitfraudFix took over.

  • Lsd160mph says:

One word describes this fix… “KILLER” Don’t know how Netsky got into the system, but I know how to get it out. People that write these programs should be.. well better not, this is a respectable site. Can’t thank you enough for the fix.

  • KevinR says:

I have used this before and it works. I have the Netsky back on my laptop now. I’m using SmtiFraud again. If you can’t download on the affected computer try downloading it from another unaffected computer then saving to a storage device then using on the affected computer.

  • Danielle says:

I used Smithfraudfix, and it seemed to have worked but now my computer keeps locking up and I’m having trouble accessing websites. I have ran the Windows updates and still having trouble. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

  • Richard Mills says:

I used the Smithfruadfix and it got rid of worm.win32.netsky, thankyou so much, It makes you realise how much you rely on your PC when it is down for 1 few days. I had tryed the MRT scan which took more than 12 hours and found/fixed nothing,Norton found nothing and max-registry cleaner didn’t fix it.

  • Dedra says:

I ran this program yesterday and it fixed it but now its back again, no clue why either. Is this going to keep happening over and over again?

  • jack chang says:

    Thanks a lot!
I recommend the second option to anyone.
I spent 17 hours trying to delete the virus before i came across this.
    Boy was i happy!

  • Jim Springer says:

It worked great. I spent all afternoon scanning and trying to get rid of NetSky. Your program worked the first time.

  • Dinesh Nayak says:

    Thanks a lot…It worked.. 🙂

  • Ernie says:

It has taken me 12 hours to find and remove NetSky, finally with your removal tool.

The Taskmanager was greyed out and my system performance was horrible. I could not access a browser to find a removal tool until I used System Restore to move back a few days.

I found and ran the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, it found nothing, what a joke.

    Thanks Again, Ernie

  • Josh says:

ZOMG TY SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! I really appreciate dis u guyz…idk how the virus got in to begin with, but its out now! TYYYYY!!!!!

  • peter says:

I downloaded and ran smitfraudfix, it worked at first and my computer was back to normal but a few days later the virus returned.

  • Boris says:

Awsome soft guys….Thanks a million. Spent a good part of my day trying to zap this thing….then you guys come along and in only 10 minutes its gone….SWEEEET!!!

I did work for me. I am suprised. I was suspicous, but this is grate soft. I tried averything and nothing worked. Eaven avg, couterspyware and many of other sofft. I will keep this soft for further use

  • Karol says:

I don;t think is gonna work. I think is new troyan

  • stephen says:

worked a treat, can gain control of my computer once again 10/10

  • Sam says:

Ok, what people have to know about Worm.Win32.netsky is that it’s all bark and no bite: the pop-ups are nothing. They say your internets failing and stuff so they scare you into buying their programs, claiming they will work. Of course, you need to get rid of it, and SmitFraudFix is genius, but DO NOT PANIC IF YOU GET THESE POP-UPS!!!

  • Bridge says:

I didn’t know what the problem was and I installed the SmitFraudFix and it worked immediately. My computer stopped having pop ups and everything! I was scared at first, as I thought that it might cause a worse virus, but it worked wonderfully! 5 Stars!!! *****

  • Manuel says:

    Very good. Thank you.

  • david says:

THANK YOU so much. I was freaking out I already had my hard drive ruined before with malicious spyware and I knew if I pressed ok to that odd “unknown trojan” pop up box message I was asking for trouble. I downloaded SmitFraudFix (because the manual instructions weren’t working for me) and it deleted the corrupted files successfully, I am so grateful. Thanks so much.

  • david says:

thanx for this i dont understand how i got this virus though because i wasnt on my email or on the internet i was just writting a report for school
